A good question was asked to me tonight: Why is it weird when a woman enjoys gay porn/yaoi, but it's socially acceptable for men to enjoy lesbian porn/hentai in general? :O

Thinking about it, that is a neat litte double standard.

Trickster

So I've started playing around with Tricksteronline. It's a 2D MMORPG! Originally japanese, it's got it's fair share of Engrish. The only thing I don't like about is it uses Flash to launch. The login system Game & Game designed for it needs to be shot,. You have to log into the site, then from there you start the game.

For those of you that participated in RagnarokOnline alpha and beta1, it's kinda like that. It's patcher is an absolute nightmare, and for SOME reason doesn't work with IE7. I had to downgrade to get it to work. They said it was impossible for them to fix. Go figure.

It's an obscenely cute game. You pick an 'animal' as a class. there are 8 classes, 4 male and 4 female, four classes in all, a male and female to each. However, each animal can only be ONE SEX. So if you want to be a racoon you can only be male.I'm a racoon-- I use 'charm' type magic, which is 'semi' supportive. I have offensive skills, but in later levels I also learn skills that will raise magic attack of players, and can also lower magic DEFENSE of monsters. There is a female equivilent to racoon-- I forget what it's job is, I think it's fox, but their 'job' is 'model' while roccoon is teacher. It's weird and a little confusing honestly. I'm not even going to mention stats.

The drilling system is also a unique twist. You're given a drill, and you basically dig around in the dirt to find quest items, potions, money, etc. As you gop up in level (via drilling, or hitting/killing monsters/quests) you can get better drills, which can drill through different densities and depths

Overall, aside form brokenness (tosday a server drops and we all lost the apility to make parties, use friend list, and whisper to people), and lag, it's been fun. I'm level 17 now, only three more levels until I can take off the racoon tail and ears. O_o

Give me an Azoth...

...and bad things are bound to happen.

I bought one the other day, since Morison is only 69 (as you can see) and can't even dream of doing the last seal quest yet. (He's basically a vend/OC slave anyhow.) but, Hydras carry the Azoth polymorphing effect, so I can go somewhere mobby (Culvers, payon dungeon), with easy monsters (cramps, familliars, etc), and just let Hydras doing 1-12 damage to them, without having to do much work myself (an aid pot with normal un-ranked white potions heal me for 1.2k :O)

I did this in Louyang the other day, too. It's good fun. We had a whole little group ob people dragging Mi Gaos into the hydra nest I made. Things get pretty nasty, really. Especially when you have mosnter polymorphing left and right, and one shows up that just kills everyone. (Wanderer, or Tirfing, for example) but overall, I burned like 70 plant bottles that night. I need to buy more.

Also: I got like 2 hours of sleep, IF THAT. I'm fucking tired.

It was free for May, so I guess that's why they called.

Point is, I'm awake, early. :/

Just a less game related update. I do have a 'life', I guess.

I skinned my knuckle on the screen door today. Just a bit of skinned-ness thankfully. Wasn't even really bothering me, or even worth mentioning until I accidentally pulled the skin a bit just now (I'd actually forgotten about it). Turns out it's still tender though, and it's been a few hours. I'm also feeling really tired again today, but I'm pretty sure why-- probably has to do with how much waking up instead of sleeping I did today. I had a rough time falling asleep and maybe I'm coming down with something. I had this horrible tickle in my throat and it was causing me to cough, but it was one of those coughs that doesn't even feel as horse as it should be-- like you have something stuck in the back of your throat (mucus for example) so after trying to cough hard enough to alleviate the feeling and finally getting to sleep, I ended up getting woken up at 7:30 (around four to four and a half hours of sleep at least), when my sister went to school. and couldn't get comfortable. I'm thinking it might be time for a new mattress, and Mike can probably agree with me there as he spent two months on that bed with me. So, back to what I was saying earlier (about coughing, and mucus, etc) maybe I'm getting sick, or MAYBE it's just seasonal allergies starting to kick in. I'd really rather not get sick.

The snow is almost gone now, and out yard is a mess of longish, dead grass. Trees are starting to bud, the cats are freaking out, and the basement is flooded-- it's spring. It's WET out, like, the drive-way is a mud puddle in waiting. I can't even GET to the water trough for the horses it's that wet. (I also need new shoes, as Mike can also vouch for) the ones I have currently are not up to the challenge of the season. The material of the shoe has ripped away from the plastic/rubber stuff it's sewn into, if I can get up the will, maybe I'll take pictures. I'm thinking I'll do with those as they've served me well for 3 years at least, and they're still putting up quite a fight-- I had them before I dropped out of school, and they're still alive. I'll probably retire them though when I can start wearing my sandals around.

I'm also in need of a haircut.

If you know me, you know things have been a bit off with me lately. I don't know what's wrong, and as Mike has said a few times, it's concerning him. I'm not especially chatty, mostly. Lately I've been feeling really restless, the other day I was up until 4:30 because of this. Not good, I like to be in bed by three at the latest. Housework has fallen to a new low for me as well-- I keep meaning to clean this, or tidy up that, or wash these, but I never get around too it. I've become sort of a neat freak in the last couple years, but lately it's just not kicking in right for me, just one of the few things that are off with me that really isn't worth a mention, but hell, why not? Trust me, if I knew what was wrong, I'd fix it.

My eyes are kind of stinging right now, could be because I'm tired, one I managed to get an eyelash in, the other could just be feeling sympathy pains. I don't know.

Tales of Destiny 2, and Kingdom hearts 2

So in Tales of Destiny 2, I'm in Dyrcoft again-- The fact I don't know Japaese, or for that matter, the history of the Aether war. Though I noticed that Chaltier's swordian was hte wrong shape earlier today, I had no idea Atwight wa meant to die on Dycroft, and I always thought hte 6th swordian was Belerius or something like that-- not Karell. And another thing, aren't the swordians INFUSED with the life-energy of the people who weilded them once? It's confusing really.

So anyway, I'm in Dycroft, and I run into BVarbaros (again, wthat annoying little pecker.) and I hadn't healed-- now I can't seem to find the battle theme on the OST. :< I got rocked by him though, since I hadn't healed up before the (VERY RANDMOISH) battle. At least I saved.

Now, Kingdom Hearts 2.
Trying to catch up to Klarth in Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm not looking forward to the second battle with Dymyx though. I had a horrible time with it the first time I fought him.

So anyhow, today I've FLOWN through like 5 worlds.

A LIST OF NAMES BEHIND HERE!!! :(:(:(:(

Half of Mulan's world
Beast's Castle
Disney Castle
Timeless River
Port Royal
HALF of Agrabah

So anyhow, I find that the battles (at least bosses) are...easier? Maybe 'tweaked' would be a better word? They seem to react a bit differently than I remember. It could be that I'm just more experienced with the battles and they just FEEL easier...I don't know though.

what am I doing?

Well, I'm finally playing Tales of Destiny 2. (Not Eternia, though it does look and feel a lot like it yay 2D) and so far it's pretty nice. Definatly FEELS like a Tales of Destiny.

A couple of things I'm not really fond of, are the way TP is managed-- being TP costs for skills are determined by your TP Reduction stat and you have 100 TP points. I'm also not to fond of the changes to the maps. I understand hte updates, but not the total changing around of them-with a graphical update, however places don't change that drastically in 18 years-- building and stuff change, but not entire layouts. I was looking forward to revisiting old places witht he 'new' engine. :\

Overall, aside from those two deals, I'm really enjoying it. I was just in Heimdal visiting Garr. And I can say that 3 levels really makes a difference in some boss fights. The boss after visiting Garr really irked me, I mean, at level 22 I was rrunning out of Apple Gummis fighting him and his super high def cat. However, three levels later I managed to kick his ass-- after getting my higher up spells as well. Thrust Fang is nice.

So I happily beat him to a pulp, and decided that was a good stopping point. I also made 10k gald just walking around leveling up three levels-- pretty good if you ask me.

I really am getting a lot of use out of the DVD burner I got for Christmas, AND the swap disc Mike got me. It's great. After this I'll probably play some more Tales of Rebirth. It really is a shame Sony had to be such dicks about 2D games being localized for NA releases.

Thus, Neo has departed for his home in the south! I hope he has a good (and uneventful) trip home.

My room feels...barren now, none of his stuff is there, no suitcase... It always feels so weird when he leaves, both times it felt so wrong, like he just wasn't meant to get back on that plane. O_o He's only been gone for a couple hours now though and miss him.

Damn what a great 9+ weeks though.

Aaaand, there we have it. I've finished Tales of the Abyss.

Spoilerzzzzz haha ha

Okay, so yeah. Beat the game, the last bosses were more story-driven than difficulty driven-- at 50% hp, the boss stops to complement, and mock you. when phase 1 reaches death, he gets pissed and then things get right nasty-- he powers up, and can easily kill you. At 1 health, the entire battle becomes event-driven. The ending itself was unexpected and beautiful with a touch of suspense added as hte wonderfully done credits roll, showing you pictures of each character in their production phase.

I am impressed. It's not often I am this impressed by a game anymore.

Also, after I made my save data, I returned to the Vaticle colloseum, and took on the party battle mode-- I did the 6000 entry fee fight, then I did the 10k entry fee fight and got to take on 4 monsters I was so ho[ping I could attempt tonight: Mint, Reid, The pink haired girl from ToD2, and Philia.

After about 6 life bottles, 6 Lemon Gummies, my 30% hp party heal item, a stop watch (because they used one on me) and a ton of other items:

Mint died first.
Philia died second
Pinky-haired girl died third
Reid died last.

It was an intense battle, worse than even the last battle if you ask me. They spam skills almost non-stop, Philia has powerful area skills, Reid uses Neo-sonic Swam a LOT, Mint cures and resses and spams hammer, and hte ipinky, well, she just shoots people with arrows (A reminder to why I hate hunters in ANY game)
Tales of Rebirth

So I've been a bad boy, and playing game sin Japanese again (still.)

Right-o, Tales of Rebirth:

First off: God DAMN you Sony and your stupid policy of not localizing 2D games for NA release. Damn you staight to the piss-bucklet on the most crowded layer of HELL.

The game is BEAUTIFUL-- think Etenria only with higher resolution graphics. The overworld, the town maps, the character sprites, the MUSIC? PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY!!

The battle system itself is nice, it's like Syphonia in 2D, you have your three ground, foreground, midground and background, which you can switch between easily, and allow sfor some impressive dodge work from attacks as well. One thing I noticed is there doesn't seem to be any viable sort of TP, a new idea in a Tales game. Instead of having Techs, you have 'Force' which I haven't really gotten the hang of yet, though they seem to WORK like techs, they are a cube. o_O I haven't really played it much though, been working on TotA before Mike leaves on the 28th. :\
